Our customer is a leading real-time 3D architectural visualization Software Provider

Headquartered in the Netherlands with 80 employees and a turnover of 23 million euros, our client is establishing a new Chief Technology Officer role to drive their next phase of development.

Based in the Netherlands and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the CTO will be responsible for the following activities:

Fostering innovation and creativity:

• • Leading collaborations with technology vendors (such as Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Microsoft Azure), including sharing the long-term technology vision of these partners and identifying how their innovations can accelerate progress within the organization.
  • Identifying and evaluating new potential partners that could enhance the product portfolio and overall performance, particularly in AI and Cloud technologies. This includes everything from conceptualizing ideas to conducting lab tests on emerging innovations.
  • Communicating insights and findings across the organization, including to the CEO, COO, product and engineering teams, and investors, while effectively summarizing the potential value and risks associated with any technological shifts.

Overseeing core software development:

• • Leading the mastery of the core fundamentals of our client’s 3D real-time engine.
  • Prioritizing and managing new developments in collaboration with the Product and Software Engineering teams

Leading and inspiring a growing Research & Innovation team:

• • Assigning new development projects to each member of the Research & Innovation and core 3D engine development teams, aligning with industry trends and their individual skills and career aspirations.
  • Recruiting specialists in emerging technology fields that are new to the organization, ensuring their smooth integration into the team.

Evaluating potential acquisitions to enhance our client’s competitiveness:

• • Conducting technical due diligence on potential acquisition targets for the client.
  • Developing integration scenarios for teams and products post-acquisition.

Your role is a key visionary and technical advisor to the executive team and shareholders, as well as an inspiring leader who drives innovation within your teams and engages all stakeholders

The following track record and competencies are essential for success in this role:

• Strong expertise in 3D modeling or rendering software development.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or gaming industries is highly desirable for seamless integration into the organization.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with experience overseeing teams of 10+ developers and architects considered a plus.
• Key soft skills include innovation, vision, curiosity, and the ability to think both analytically and synthetically.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
